We’ve all heard it once or twice, and it can be both incredibly cute and tear-jerkingly sad. Dogs definitely do whimper or make other noises while they sleep, but don’t worry, it doesn’t mean that anything bad is happening.
It just means that the tired little pup is dreaming! Dogs will often dream about whatever happened that day while they sleep, and the noises that they make are just a result of that. No, it doesn’t mean that they’re having a nightmare, and no, you don’t need to wake them up.
