No matter how hard we try, some dogs are just destined to be diggers. Why do they feel the need to make holes all over the yard? Sometimes, it’s merely because our pooches are bored and looking for a way to entertain themselves.
Other times, our dogs love to get their paws dirty because they are too hot. When the panting hasn’t worked, they can take to underground to find a cooler place to lie as the soil (or sand!) below will stay at a constant, cooler temperature, no matter how warm a day it is.
