As the brother of Harry Sultenfuss, Uncle Phil proved to be a hugely important figure in Vada’s life. Although he didn’t live with the family, he always stopped by to lend a helping hand. He worked for the funeral parlor in the first movie but decided to head to the City of Angels in My Girl 2.
Uncle Phil bagged himself a job at an auto repair shop, and he also bagged himself a new family in the process. Yes, Phil became the boyfriend and the step-father to Rose and Nick, and he later became Rose’s husband. After he had a little push in the right direction, of course.
