Although there’s no doubt about the fact that SATC would not be the same without Carrie Bradshaw, it would also not be the same without Mr. Big. We all know that this character was ultimately played by Chris Roth, and we all know that most people fell in love with him – just like Carrie.
Nevertheless, this wasn’t what the creator of the show originally had planned for this character. When Darren Star wrote the character, he imagined Alec Baldwin taking on the titular role instead. That would have been very different.
