While it’s fair to say that the likes of Twilight and True Blood allowed us to see a resurgence in the vampire genre, Buffy the Vampire Slayer will always be one of the best in the business.
This show saw Sarah Michelle Gellar take on the leading role, but this wasn’t always meant to be the case. Countless famous and almost-famous women made their way to the audition room for this role, and Katie Holmes was one of them. Although she almost snapped up the gig, showrunners eventually settled on Gellar.
