Courteney Cox will forever be recognized and remembered for her role in Friends, and there’s no doubt about the fact that she was made for the role of Monica Gellar. Yet, things were a little more complicated in the casting room when Courteney made her appearance.
That’s because she actually auditioned for the role of Rachel Green to begin with, and she was even offered the part. However, after much deliberation, she realized that she was better suited to the role of Monica. Because of this, Jennifer Aniston became Rachel.
