You’ve been working the early shift, and you are due to go home soon. Your manager appears to be asking out of interest what your plans are for the evening. You know there might be an ulterior motive so you quickly have to invent some plans that you simply can’t back out of just in case they ask you to stay and do the evening shift too. Really you’re just going home to sit in your sweatpants, but your boss can’t know that.
