You could be in the middle of a family crisis, but your manager is still going to try and make you come in. They’re snowed under at the restaurant, so you better find a way to get into work and help out, no matter what your problem is. It always seems to be the case that anytime you’re having trouble the restaurant is magically short of staff. Then you make the effort to get into work and they’ve found someone else to help out and you weren’t needed after all!
