Normally when you approach your table, people get their hands, phones, or drinks out of the way so you can serve their food. They came here to eat so why wouldn’t they want their food to go on the table? Sometimes customers can be so oblivious to what is going on that they simply don’t get their stuff out of the way, that wouldn’t be so bad except this plate is really hot, and you’re pretty sure if you hold it any longer you’ll have to go to the burns unit.
