Zack Snyder’s 2011 vanity project Sucker Punch was… not a good movie. On several levels, in fact, as it was blamed for anything from not having a coherent plot to objectifying women. It supposedly takes us into the imaginations of its young female characters, where according to Snyder they “can do anything.”
But all they wound up doing is wearing skimpy clothes. The only imagination that mattered in the end, it seemed, was Snyder’s. It’s really a film, one website wrote, about ” how hot sad schoolgirls look when holding weapons.”
