Varya loved seeing how much weight she could lift with her bare hands, and she eventually decided to enter weightlifting competitions when she was seven years old. Her other contenders were amazed to see such a young girl taking part in the competition, and many of them doubted her – until they saw what she could do! By this age, she could not only lift two incredibly weighty kettlebells with ease, but she could also lift up her father off the floor. As a weightlifter himself, he certainly wasn’t light.
