Like many people who have found themselves in the limelight over the course of their career, Varya’s place in society was greeted with media backlash. Many people believed that her parents had forced her into such a lifestyle and that they were pushing her to her limits – but that wasn’t true. Alongside this, Varya also received nasty comments from those who did not believe a woman should be doing such an activity. One man even told her that she would never find a man to marry her if she continued on her path.
