Let’s be honest, we all know Andrea Barber as the annoying, yet somehow lovable, best friend of DJ Tanner, Kimmy Gibbler from Full House. That show put Andrea on Hollywood’s radar, even if typecasting her slightly in the process. She played the role of Kimmy from 1987 until 1995. Andrea acted from the early 1980s in the soap opera, Days of Our Lives, and while the show was, well, still is, on the air and popular, her character of Carrie Brady never made waves like her Full House role.

After Full House, Andrea retired from acting to go back to ‘normal life’. She finished high school and went on to get a Bachelors Degree in English from Whittier College and and Masters Degree from University of York in England. She then turned her career goals towards academics, being the assistant to the director of the International Programs at her alma mater, Whittier College. Earlier this year, though, she blessed us fans with reprising her role as the (still) annoying neighbor, Kimmy Gibbler on the Full House revamp, Fuller House, on Netflix. Yay!
