Shania Twain made country music cool in the 90s. Even those who didn’t like the genre loved her country-pop style. In 1995 she sold over 20 million copies internationally of her album The Woman in Me. The song Any Man of Mine won her a Grammy Award for the first time. Her third album, Come On Over, broke records by being the best-selling country album EVER! But here’s a little known fact about the stunning lady, she may be singing American country music, but she was born and raised in Ontario, Canada!

Shania’s first albums are still hits. She is as famous today as she was in the 90s, even though her music-making is much slower. She has won multiple Grammy Awards, and a star on both Canada and Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2004, Twain retired from music and moved to Switzerland. In 2011 she released an autobiography titled, From This Moment On (after her mega-hit song). Although she retired from singing, Shania does do appearances every now and then, showing the world that she’s as beautiful as ever.
