Anna got her big break (and broke our own hearts) in the 1991 film, My Girl, where she played the role of a young girl who grows up in a funeral home, who befriends a sickly boy, played by Macaulay Culkin, to the detriment of his health. Anna also went on to do the sequel of the movie in 1994; capitalizing on the first films huge success. A Lesser known movie that she starred in was 1994’s Trading Mom, alongside Sissy Spacek.

Anna took a break from acting to attend the University of Chicago for a Bachelors Degree in International Studies. Once she graduated she worked as an editorial assistant for HarperCollins Publishing. Anna realized that acting was her true love once again and returned to television in appearances in 30 Rock, Law and Order, and, most recently, playing the role of Chief of Staff for the Vice President on the HBO series, Veep. She gets credit for being a child star that is still relevant and thriving!
