It is thought around 39.5 million people are living in The Golden State. This includes the highest number of billionaires as 124 choose to live here who share a net worth of more than $500 billion.
One of the few residing in the state includes the wealthiest man in the world, Amazon owner Jeff Bezos. Although Canada has the 2nd largest landmass in the world, the country is only home to around 35 million people. That means nearly 5 million more people live in California than an entire nation.
