Her injuries were more extensive than she imagined and she was unable to help herself, let alone help the boy. Her heroics meant everything, but now she was in need of saving.
They were both in the ocean, unable to help themselves. One was a child, too weak to swim, and the other was Hanna, broken in places she had no idea she could break, and in too much pain to carry on. Their fates were uncertain.
