Hanna has no choice but to find the money to pay for her treatment, although she has raised a lot of money in a short space of time, so there could still be hope. She remains in hospital to have surgery which will help her foot and allow her to start her recovery as a whole.
Until then, she needs to sit tight with her fingers crossed, and hope that everything turns out well. On the bright side, both the young boy and herself are alive and (mostly) well, with Hanna lauded as a hero for her actions.
