Despite being in immense pain, and without assessing the extent of her injuries, Hanna Pignato carried on, determined to reach the boy, and with little concern for herself. It was a struggle, even for her.
She considered herself an experienced swimmer and surfer, someone who had spent a lot of time on the water, which was probably why she had no fear when jumping in. Her pain meant nothing to her as she neared the boy, who was still running out of time.
