Beautiful actress, Rooney Mara, transformed into a much darker character for her role as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Mara changed her appearance so drastically for the role that there are those who didn’t recognize that it was her at first. Her normally long and luscious locks were chopped off and dyed black, her eyebrows were bleached, piercings were added and very solemn makeup was applied. Rooney’s character acting was the cherry on top of a transformation cake, completing the transition from Rooney to Lisbeth.
