The Unidad de Operaciones Especiales, or Special Operations Unit in English, were Spain’s answer to the United States’ Marines program. Heavily inspired by the capabilities and skills of the Marines, Spain set out to create a Unit comprised of one hundred highly trained naval warfare agents. The Unit had lasted for 40 years before it was rolled into Spain’s Naval Special Warfare Force.
