It’s not just fans who love the Deadliest Catch, it’s the critics as well. In 2007, the show was nominated for four Emmy awards, including for Outstanding Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Cinematography for Nonfiction. In 2012, the show was once again nominated for three Emmy awards, of which it won two. The wins were all for their season eight episode titled, “I Don’t Want to Die.” They were also nominated for an award in 2016, but ultimately lost. It was recently announced that they have been nominated again this year, so we will see how they do.
