Fans may not be aware that in 2010 there was some major drama going on behind the scenes. The Hillstrand brothers had been offered their own spin off special, and after filming it the network called them in to do voice over work, except the brothers said they were unavailable. This led to Discovery suing the Hillstrands for $3 million, and the brothers to subsequently quit the show, taking Sig Hansen with them. Thankfully, both parties were eventually able to come to an agreement, and before long, everyone was back on the show.
