Both Dolly and Burt have noted that their time working together on the movie was an incredible experience, but it seems as though it wasn’t always rosy for the actors. Because they were working from a hugely popular Broadway play, there was a lot of pressure to ensure that the movie was a success. During this time, Dolly was also feeling under the weather, and she didn’t feel as though she had put in her best performance. Burt helped her get through the tough times.
