Longtime frenemies Elton John and Madonna had a cute little quip going at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards. Sir Elton John said Madonna had no chance of taking home the award for Best Original song.
Madonna responded with “those are fighting words” and “may the best man win.” Well it looks like the best (wom)an won that night, because Madonna did end up winning. Sorry Elton, but it looks like you might have jinxed your win with your comment.
