There could have been something totally satisfying and even wholesome about Joey and Dawson winding up together. After all, they grew up together and were best friends for many years before they eventually started dating. However, Joey had been keeping her feelings from her friend a secret, and had refused to act on them for a very long time.
The fear of losing each other’s friendship almost kept this pair apart, but they finally admitted their mutual affection for one another. Of course, with so much emotional baggage between the two, their relationship was no walk in the park.
