Considering what a massive hit Friends was at the time (and still is today), it’s difficult to imagine any actor or actress filling the roles we know and love so much. Matthew Perry’s Chandler is so idiosyncratic and hilarious – how could anyone else play him? Future Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer came close. He auditioned to play the charming Chandler Bing when the network was casting the show but was starring in a play in London and couldn’t commit to the job.
