The late and great Whitney Houston was slated to play Sondra on The Cosby Show. In fact, director Jay Sandrich almost signed on the dotted line but backed out last minute citing conflicts between the TV series and Whitney’s music career. Sabrina LeBeauf was then offered the role and played Sondra throughout the show’s duration. Houston continued rise to her superstardom and released a number of best-selling albums. Her soundtrack for her film The Bodyguard is still one of the biggest selling albums of all time.
