Stand up comic Kathy Griffin made it to the final rounds of auditions but lost out to her good friend Kudrow. She managed all right in the end and is one of the most successful touring comedians. She co-starred on the hit Brooke Shields-led sitcom Suddenly Susan. She is also a New York Times bestselling author.
