Henson auditioned for the iconic role of Olivia Pope in Scandal. Kerry Washington eventually nabbed the part and Henson admits that the role was meant for Washington. She didn’t wait long for work to come around and currently stars as the tough Cookie Lyon on the hit musical soap Empire.
