The United States Military operates 420 bases and installations on American soil alone. These bases provide a huge amount of people with jobs and help give states much needed cash. First, there are the tons of military civilian contractors who get jobs at these bases. But perhaps just as important economically are the fact that all of these people on the base need places to shop, watch movies, eat out, and party. In fact, these secondary economic effects are just as important as the primary ones.
