One of the things which further surprised the crew of the show was when a man gave the cashier a $20 bill, to cover the expenses of the man portraying the veteran. But then, in a truly selfless act, told the cashier to let the veteran keep the change from the bill. Now, this was an act that nobody expected. No one ever says “keep the change” anymore, especially to a complete stranger.
