Michonne lost her family in the apocalypse. Initially she does not trust anyone and forced to be a ruthless survivor. She rather be alone and does not like to talk about her past. Since she has lost her own family she will never be whole again.
However after meeting Rick Grimes and his group, she slowly begins to trust the others. She eventually becomes Rick’s right hand woman which eventually leads to a romantic relationship with between them.
