Danai Gurira isn’t just a talented actress but she is also a writer. She co-authored the play In the Continuum which was nominated for many awards and was played at the Goodman theatre in Chicago.
Danai was born in Iowa while both of her parents are from Zimbabwe. She also wrote the Tony award winning play called Eclipsed. She is a feminist and tries to convey the strength of women both through her plays and through acting.
