Another thing we have to point out is that Andie wants to be taken seriously, and write about things that matter. She mentions multiple times how she wants to write about politics or other important topics. Then, she goes and takes a story about dating a man with the sole intention of driving him away.
Yes, she did take the story so that her friend, who was hung up on her ex didn’t have to write it – maybe not such a bad friend after all – but this is not what she wants to write about. So, it begs the question of why exactly she chose to take the story. Maybe she likes gossipy, girly stuff more than she lets on. Even her friends were shocked she chose to write this.
