Emmy was rushed to the hospital again, and found those chest pains were due to a broken rib. This meant the cancer had metastasized in the bone. Scans showed lesions had grown in her lungs, liver, and bones.
That’s when they learned the grave news – Emmy’s cancer was already Stage 4, and it was inoperable. If doctors had caught it in time, she might have had a chance, but now it was sadly too late. She was one of the youngest people to get it this rare kind of cancer.
