Emmy’s care was transferred to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she could receive the best possible care, but there was more bad news.
Emmy’s doctor told her there was only ten percent she would live for another five years, and that was probably it. Even worse, she learned that the chemotherapy would prevent her from being able to conceive. The couple was devastated to hear the bad news, as Emmy’s dream of becoming a mother and carrying her own child was crushed.
