Not a month after her initial diagnosis, Emmy had come up with the perfect way to give back to the Royal Marsden – the hospital that provided her with the support she needed in this rough time.
She and Jake would go on a 1,200 mile tandem bike race from London to Copenhagen, on the North Sea Cycle Route. As people would sponsor them, they could raise money for the hospital. And Emmy could go at her own pace, while Jake keeps an eye out that she’s okay.
