In 1992 Cage got another chance to prove how far he would go for a role in a movie. The film Vampire’s Kiss was released in which Cage swallowed a cockroach while it was still alive. The dark comedy initially didn’t do well at the box office but has since gained a cult following. This appeared to be the first time Cage had struggled to get rave reviews for a movie of his, so he was left with a lot of making up to the audience to do.
