Tessa felt like it was important that the world knew that women weren’t just going to sit around and watch the men take leading roles. Although she was offered a huge role within Thor: Ragnarok, she knew that women were under-appreciated in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the superhero world in general. After all, can you think of any female superheroes that have been given their own movies? When you count Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman, you have absolutely no one left. They are always secondary to the male leads.
