You may remember the children’s show Captain Kangaroo, since it aired for nearly three decades. The show’s creator, Bob Keeshan, played the main character of Captain Kangaroo, and based his performance on the relationship that kids have with their grandparents.
It revolved around life in the Treasure House, where the captain told his stories to the children. It was a popular show, and the longest running show of its kind, during the time it aired.
