In the 1960s, women everywhere ditched their traditional clothes and opted for the rebellious mini skirt. With so little fabric, these skirts made a huge cultural impact, as they were the symbol of modernization and liberation.
Along with the invention of the birth control pill, times were changing, and in came the mini skirt. Women were enjoying more freedom as they went on dates without supervision and could choose their own future husbands now – and the mini skirt was a fun addition that fit these times.
