Counterculturists, Cheech and Chong, were ultimate stoner duo. They were major advocates of the hippie lifestyle and the free love era, which cemented their status as 60’s and 70’s icons. On screen, Cheech and Chong were all about the laughs. They catered to a specific demographic that otherwise overlooked during a close-minded time period and they knew how to appeal to their audience. While they were once a great duo, today they’re unfortunately separated and have no plans to reunite. So much for peace, love, and unity.
