You gotta love the connection between an emotionless Vulcan Sarek like Mr. Spock and an utterly handsome human, like Captain James T. Kirk. Together, these honorable men run the Starship Enterprise and encounter numerous alien species, dangerous villains, and technical problems. Captain Kirk and his Commander make the ideal, sci-fi pairing not just because of their common desire to protect the universe, but because of the valuable lessons each learns from one another. Mr. Spock, who notoriously struggles with his mixed genetics, learns how to identify emotions and when it is appropriate to tap into them and in return, Captain Kirk learns how to apply logic where it is necessary.
