For the next year, both Mary and Peter lived their separate lives, while still maintaining their friendship. They helped each other through their divorce battles, and they continued to be shoulders to cry on when times got tough.
Yet, they were living in separate houses, and they even had their own groups of friends. However, after a particularly trying few months, Mary and Peter decided that they needed a break away. They booked a trip to Blackpool, and they enjoyed the trip away from their home lives.
