Madonna was initially set to play the role of the music teacher but Meryl took over the part when Madonna couldn’t do it. It was lucky for both the producers and Meryl who was made to play the role. She needed to do a lot to make the role as perfect as it needed to be, but she wasn’t afraid of some hard work.
