It’s their birthday and they’ll cry if they want to. The Marines commemorate their birthday each year with a parade and a formal ball. The ball and parade are celebrated nationwide, but each division has their own twist on their celebrations, with some reenacting battles gone by, playing baseball games, and the cutting of a celebration cake. When the cake is cut, the first piece must go to the oldest Marine and the second piece must go to the youngest.
