You might have heard the term jarhead thrown at a Marine before, but do you really understand what it means? It actually pretty simple, and maybe a little insulting; they are called jarheads because of their haircuts. The extremely close shaved sides and little tufts on the top of their heads makes them look like jars. Although it’s a standard issue haircut, some take it to the extreme and break protocol by having mohawks or horseshoes.
