When they are fresh out of training a newly qualified marine is often called a PIG, standing for ‘professionally instructed gunman.’ They are called a PIG until they shoot an enemy sniper in battle and then remove the round in their enemies gun with their name on it. They will then turn that bullet into a necklace and wear it around their neck, becoming the invincible Marine their superstition tells them that they are. Once wearing the bullet they earn the title Hunter of Gunmen (HOG).
