Cher’s name was beginning to tarnish, but that didn’t completely stop her from working. In fact, despite some criticizing her public divorce and messy relationship with Allman, she was still somehow becoming more and more of a commodity – especially with Sonny still by her side.
In 1976, shortly before their show was canceled for the last time, Mego Toys released a pair of dolls in likeness to Sonny and Cher. These dolls, of course, ended up selling millions; even more than Barbie that year!
